SGTC held a general membership meeting on Saturday, November
5, 2011. Items discussed on the
agenda:
- Our
last intra-club tourney of the year, the Turkey Tussle, will be on
Saturday - November 19, 2011.
Entry fee is $10.

at the courts.
- The
holiday party is on Saturday - December 10, 2011 at the Santa Anita
Inn. Cost is $26.00/person,
reservation and payment is needed in advance. Invite your family, too. There will be karaoke, games, and prizes so please
attend. Dinner includes salad, rice, vegetables, choice of beef or chicken
entrée, and a beverage (iced tea, lemonade, and/or coffee). Bring your own wine. The club is
getting a great discount for the party courtesy of member, Linda Chang,
who is owner of the Santa Anita Inn.
We need 45 attendees to lock in this price. Invitations will be mailed. To print the invitation, click

- In
observance of the holidays, campus will be closed and there will be no
play on Saturday - Nov 16 (Thanksgiving weekend), Saturday - December 24
(Christmas weekend), and Saturday - December 31 (New Year’s weekend). The high school will already be on
vacation on Saturday – Dec 17 so we will let the members know as soon as
possible if the courts will be closed for play that day.
- Volunteers
run SGTC and all board members are volunteers. We are looking for 2012 Board members. If you’d like to nominate a fellow
member for the board or be on the board yourself, see or email one of the
current 2011 board members.
If you do not wish to be on the board, please volunteer to help out
at the club’s events.
- SGTC
is looking into the idea of ordering club t-shirts next year. Estimated price about $10-15
dollars for athletic type polyester tees. Female fit tees will be available. A general poll was taken, about
2/3 of the members in attendance were interested.
