SGTC Update - November 2011

posted Nov 4, 2011, 5:59 PM by San Gabriel Tennis Club
Hello SGTC Members!

I can't believe it's already November!  This year has been going by so fast!  Thank you for the support of all of the SGTC members in making the first full-year of the Sunday to Saturday transition a successful one.  The board has been working tremendously hard to figure out new fundraising ideas in order to try and keep the membership costs as low as possible.  We will continue to work until this year ends so the SGTC members can enjoy their weekly tennis at San Gabriel High School.  We, as the board, appreciate all of the members' support and participation.

November does not only mean Thanksgiving and Turkey Time, but it also means the year 2011 is coming to an end.  This is why SGTC has some very important announcements:

  • NOVEMBER SCRAMBLE AND MEMBERSHIP MEETING!  Tomorrow, November 5th will be our November scramble, and also the last scramble month where the scores will count towards the year-long scramble tournament.  Also, between the 2nd and 3rd round, the board members will hold a quick membership meeting to go over some important upcoming events such as the Holiday Party, Turkey Tussle, and...
  • BOARD NOMINATIONS FOR 2012!  Are you interested in giving back to the San Gabriel Tennis Club?  Do you want to take a leadership role to help SGTC?  If you know someone who will like to be on the SGTC board for 2012, you will have the opportunity to nominate the member during tomorrow's scramble.
  • UPCOMING EVENTS!  SGTC currently has two major upcoming events: Turkey Tussle and the Holiday Party!  Please look forward to a Evite and a future email to save the date for the final intraclub tournament of the year!  Invitations for the Holiday Party will be mailed out very shortly!
As always, if you have any comments, suggestions, or ideas, please do not hesitate to contact me or email us at

Please look forward to another membership update soon!

I hope to see everyone at the Turkey Tussle and our Holiday Party!
